when you die

Understand Death and You Understand Life | Lourens Coetzer

Seeing beyond death

I have wanted to record and share the message captured in this book for a very, very long time, perhaps even across lifetimes. Although born in Africa in this lifetime, I realised that I was born with siddhis. I started applying them in assisting my clients to overcome all sorts of mental, emotional and physical challenges using a technique I call extrasensory therapy. My visits to and extensive hikes in the Himalayas, where I encountered great beings, enhanced my understanding of these siddhis and life in general.

As an extrasensory therapist, I have had many opportunities to experience what happens when someone dies. I have spent time with people before and after they have died many times. I have clairvoyantly observed the after-death experience of people who died peaceful deaths, traumatic deaths, of those who committed suicide and even of those who opted for assisted dying. I have seen what happens during abortions, miscarriages, stillbirths and when children die. I have also followed peoples’ pets as well as wild animals in death to see what happens.

A decision to share

I could see the beauty in the last phase of life as we know it but noticed how my clients could not. I realised that if only they could see what I can see and know what I know about death, they would no longer fear the inevitable moment that will eventually happen to all of us. I decided to record my experiences.

I had no idea how to write a book or where to begin. All I knew was that I wanted to keep it interesting and simple. I also realised that there was no scientific proof for what I knew about death and there probably will never be. Science is routed in the three dimensions of our physical reality on Earth. What happens after death is beyond the physical realm. So I chose to write the book in the form of a novel.

Writing a book is a mammoth task. Aspects of the narrative changed constantly, leading to the realisation that the book had taken on a life of its own, and was creating itself. I tried to stay clear of religious teachings about death, because every religion teaches something different, and I wanted to avoid insulting or offending anyone. When writing the book, I only relied on my own practical experiences and observations.

I rewrote the book many times, bringing forth deeper levels of understanding in layers upon layers. The result is that although it is an easy read, there are many layers of wisdom captured in those pages. Everyone reading the book would thus receive life changing insights no matter at what level of understanding they are.  Every time you re-read the work, you will discover a deeper meaning and understanding, that you could have sworn was not there during the previous read.

Although it took me seven years to complete the journey, it was well worth it in the end.

The gift of insight and awareness

There is a direct correlation between what you think will happen when you die and what actually happens when you die. If it is thus true, that your thoughts mostly determine your death experience, it makes sense to create positive thoughts about death while alive. What happens to you after death depends mostly on how you are living your daily life. The book allows the reader to learn from the death experiences of others.

When you die, you are very much aware of everything that is happening to you. It therefore makes sense to be aware about what you could expect.

This provocative and compelling novel assists you in gaining that awareness. It takes the reader on a fascinating journey and helps us understand death so that we can ponder over life, which is far more important. This book therefore is equally about life, karma, knowing yourself and loving who you are. It explains in a refreshingly real way, the sense behind life.

I feel that When You Die is an absolute must read. Joshua’s tale might transform your life as much as it did mine.
