Born in San Francisco in 1951, Cat Bordhi spent part of her early childhood in a small village on the edge of the Black Forest in Germany, where she became utterly enchanted with nature. Returning later to the United States, she continued to cherish, explore, and learn from her natural surroundings. She was educated at the Universities of California, Santa Barbara, and Western Washington. Her life narrative, like her writing, is both intricate and compelling: extensive travel in her younger years, significant life and health challenges, deep personal and spiritual exploration, and dual careers as a textile artist and award-winning school teacher. Cat currently resides in the Pacific Northwest, where she continues to live closely with nature while guarding her privacy.
